Armaan Ebrahim opens his account in Formula 2 with a points scoring 8th place in Race 1 at Silverstone.
Armaan who started 13th on the grid was off to a fabulous start and by end of lap 2 moved up to 9th and after a few more laps made one more place into 8th.
After having made some big changes on the car overnight after qualifying, it took a few laps for Armaan to re adjust to the car. Armaan put in some very consistent laps right through the race to pull away from a charging D'Marco behind.
Commented Armaan : We struggled in qualifying as we had gone the wrong way with the balance of the car. We were quick in testing earlier in the week, but as the track grip got better, we did not change the car to compensate it and thus found ourselves wanting in qualifying. However the car was a lot better in the race and we still need to find another half second to be more ahead in race 2. However this is where we are and it is good to collect points in the opening race and the target for race 2 is also to make as many places from the start and finish in the points and then improve the balance of the car for Marrakech.
