Armaan Ebrahim puts in a solid performance in the F2 Season opener test session at the Snetterton Circuit-UK.

3rd Fastest in Session 1 and 5th fastest overall for the Day.

After not having driven a racing car for 6 months, Armaan was keen to get the rust off and get back into the groove. The morning session on day 1 started off well for Armaan who was 4th fastest in the opening session. However, Gear Box problems in session 2 ended his practise session half way through and thus had to miss the next session too. However, the F2 Team put Armaan in the spare car for him to get some track time.

Day 2 was good for Armaan with his original race car fixed and Armaan was 3rd fastest on new tyres in session 1 and then remained in the top 5 positions for the rest of the day.

Commented Armaan: It was good to be back in the car and start to get the feel again after a very long layoff. The track temperatures were really cold and it was difficult to get the tyres to work to the optimum. As the car has been upgraded quite a bit as compared to last year, we focussed on understanding the new grip levels and tyre performance. We made several changes on the car and I was pleased with the response. The car is so much better to drive this year with better down force and more power.

We were really not going for the quickest lap time as we were concentrating on our own program in understanding the new car and also for me to get my rhythm back. In doing so, we were pleased that we were also quick and in the top 5 continuously.

I now look forward to the next test at Silverstone on the 12th and then the 1st race weekend on the 1-18th April at Silverstone. I would like to thank my sponsors, JK Tyres, Cornerstone, Yuvraj Singh Sports Foundation, Amaron and Trimex for supporting me for this year.
